Augustin “Gus” Torres serves as the Director of Security and Compliance for USP Security, bringing more than a decade of progressive leadership experience in private-sector security operations, compliance, and strategic growth across government, education, and healthcare sectors. 

An Air Force veteran, Gus began his career in the U.S. military where he developed a strong foundation in discipline, operational readiness, and leadership under pressure. Following his service, he gained OCONUS (overseas) experience as a Security Lead supporting multiple U.S. government agencies under international contracting missions, enhancing his global perspective and ability to manage complex, high-stakes security operations. 

In his current role, Gus oversees multi-state operations and large-scale contracts, ensuring USP Security’s clients receive the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence. His leadership emphasizes efficiency, staff development, and a results-driven culture built on communication and integrity. 

Prior to joining USP Security, Gus held senior leadership roles in the security industry where he directed complex portfolios exceeding several million dollars in annual revenue. His background includes extensive work with local and state agencies, housing authorities, and major institutional clients, where he successfully led teams through rapid organizational growth, training and compliance improvements, and innovative operational restructuring. 

A firm believer in the value of disciplined leadership and continuous improvement, Gus applies a hands-on management approach that fosters accountability and performance at every level. His professional expertise spans workforce optimization, emergency management coordination, and the implementation of modern technology solutions to enhance operational visibility and client satisfaction. 

Outside of his leadership role, Gus remains committed to professional development and community engagement, actively pursuing advanced studies in Business Management and Emergency Management to strengthen his organizational impact and industry insight.
